 As a non-profit
organization, the Berkshire Historical Society
depends on volunteers to help carry out
its mission to preserve and inform the public
about the exciting history of this region.
Areas
where volunteers are needed include:
- Arrowhead tour guides
- Arrowhead shop assistants
- Exhibition Assistants
- Grounds care
- Gardening
- Special events help
Volunteers
may contribute as few or as many hours as are
convenient for their schedules.

Volunteers
get the satisfaction of knowing they are making a
substantial and invaluable contribution to
preserving a vital piece of American history as
well as acting as custodians of the
Berkshires local heritage. In addition, the
work of BHS helps to safeguard the strength of
the community by preserving the communitys
collective memory. If you are a newcomer to the
area, volunteering is a great way to learn about
the area and meet great people.
Other
benefits of being a BHS/Arrowhead volunteer
include:
- a 20% discount in the
Arrowhead Shop
- free admission to Arrowhead
for your immediate family
- volunteer social
events
